Unlike Split PDF, this operation creates one output containing all selections. Pages are copied rather than rendered, preserving their original dimensions and visible quality.
Worked example
A 40-page handbook contains a policy overview on pages 2 through 4 and a checklist on page 37. Enter 2-4, 37. The result is a four-page PDF with the overview followed by the checklist. Open the output and verify that references to omitted chapters still make sense for the intended reader.
Order, ranges, and repeated pages
Each range expands from its lower number to its higher number. Enter 8, 1-3, 8 to use page eight as both a cover and ending reference. Invalid, descending, zero, or out-of-range selections stop processing and show a clear error.
Privacy and source quality
Selected pages are copied in browser memory, with no upload. The original document remains unchanged. Since pages are not photographed, selectable text and vector drawings normally remain intact. Document-level structures may behave differently when surrounding pages disappear.
Limitations and assumptions
Extraction does not inspect content, detect chapter headings, or repair references and page numbers printed inside the source. Bookmarks, form fields, attachments, scripts, digital signatures, and accessibility relationships may not transfer exactly. Extracting a page does not prove that hidden metadata or embedded content is absent. Use the metadata tool separately when appropriate, and never treat extraction as secure redaction.
