Define one output per page range

Choose a PDF and enter comma-separated ranges such as 1-3, 4-6, 7. Each range becomes a separate PDF named in order inside one ZIP download. A single page is written as one number. Select Split PDF, then check the number of outputs reported before downloading.

Splitting by meaningful sections

A long scan or combined report often contains several documents that need separate destinations. Page ranges let you preserve each section as its own PDF rather than turning every page into an unrelated file. Source pages are copied without being rendered, so text and image quality normally remain intact.

Worked example

A 12-page packet contains a two-page cover, a six-page report, and four pages of receipts. Enter 1-2, 3-8, 9-12. The ZIP contains three PDFs corresponding to those sections. After downloading, rename the generic part files to match their contents and open each one to verify its first and last page.

Split versus extract

Split PDF is best when one source should become several outputs. Extract PDF Pages is best when selected pages should become one new document. For example, extracting pages 2, 8, and 11 creates a single three-page file, while entering those numbers here creates three one-page files.

Local privacy

The source, copied pages, and ZIP remain in browser memory until download. Nothing is uploaded. This helps when separating invoices, personnel paperwork, assignments, or other documents that should not visit a third-party conversion server.

Limitations and assumptions

Ranges must be ascending internally, although separate ranges may overlap when duplicate pages are intentional. The tool does not infer chapter boundaries, inspect headings, or split by file size. It does not preserve every document-level feature: signatures, bookmarks, form behavior, attachments, and scripts can depend on the original full document. Encrypted and malformed files are unsupported.
