Description

The Password Generator generates secure, complex, random passwords and provides a password strength score ranging from very weak to very strong.
You can specify the desired length and whether to include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Enable Exclude ambiguous characters when a password may need to be read or typed manually; this removes 0, O, o, 1, I, and l.
By default, the password generator creates 14 character passwords with all options enabled to produce a very strong and complex random password.
The Password Generator allows you to generate up to 100 randomly generated secure passwords. Just click the dropdown arrow on the Generate button to generate more than 1 password at a time.
The Password Generator allows you to export the passwords to the clipboard, as a CSV, JSON, or plain text file.

Definitions and scope

This page creates random character strings from selected sets and shows a zxcvbn estimate. A generated string becomes a password only after a service accepts and stores it.

Length, uniqueness, generation quality, service rate limits, breach exposure, and password storage all affect security. Character variety alone is not a guarantee.

Worked example

Generate a 20-character value with enabled sets, save it in a password manager, and use it for one account only. The displayed score is an estimate, not a certification.
